She smiled as she saw he two boys run around the front yard playing with themselves. What would she make the boys for lunch today? The older son's favorite lunch meal was a turkey sandwich while the younger son rather enjoyed a ham sandwich. Suddenly, she heard a small scream from outside. "Are you guys okay?" she asked as she rushed out the front door. A cold hollow wind passed by but nothing. It had been three years since the army officers came to deliver her son's helmets. Noah was an A+ student who was involved in numbers of extracurricular activities. One day, Noah and his friend, Ray, were hanging out and were invited to a party that night. Having never drank alcohol before, Noah was incoherently drunk when the cops showed up to bust the party later that night. Noah began to run, but was caught up quickly by the police car. When the police officers got out to chase him, he began running around them in a circle in order to avoid them. However, being so drunk, Noah thought he could hide in a front yard of a house nearby and pose as a garden gnome. Noah said to the police after crouching down in front of the house, "You can't see me, I'm a gnome.' When he got there, though, he backed out and said that he couldn't do it. He was afraid he'd fracture his ankles. Distraught, his friends tried to convince him he was safe and it was fun. "You won't know if you don't like it if you don't try!" But all Jason could do was shake his head and run. As he went his way, people gabbed about how much of a coward he had been. He regrets ever trying out. My sick wife moved into the spare bedroom, and I took on all the family responsibilities, terrified and lonely for my love who lay fifty feet away. We called the children, “Just in case, our wills and life insurance policies are in the top drawer of the desk. Just in case, we left our medical directives on the kitchen table.   Short Story: On a cold winter night in January, Blake dislocated his knee dancing like an idiot outside of a bar while drunk. He ended up on crutches for three weeks and told all his coworkers at work that he did it by bending down to grab something from the freezer because he didn't want them to think he was a drunk maniac. As he was the vice-president of the company, he was relieved to see that people were shocked at how easily his knee was dislocated.   Short Story:      Just another normal day of going to work, Matthew had no idea what would happen to him today. On his drive to work, Matthew was suddenly stopped by a gold notebook that was thrown onto his front windshield while stopped at a stop light. He immediately got out of the car confused, and grabbed the strange looking notebook.  "Rich Note" When he opened the notebook, the front page was filled with writing. As Matthew read on, his eyes widened.  "Rule #1 of Command Note: The name of the person you write down on this notebook shall obtain wealth of the writer's choice." This was it.   Short Story:       There once was a professor who loved to challenge his students in fun ways. This particular semester, he decided that he would challenge all students to miss as little number of questions as possible across four exams he would give out. Student with the least number of questions missed would get 100$ gift card to wherever they wanted! Jordan, a student in the class decided that he would go for it and studied hard for every exam. He ended up missing a total of two questions total the entire semester! Thinking surely he was the person that missed the least number of questions, he approached the professor with confidence after the final exam and said, "Hello professor, I am here to collect my gift card!" The professor turned to him and said, "You missed two right? Well, there was a student who did not miss any for the whole semester." That's right. Short Story Jordan jumped from the couch, flinging his hands up. “Dammit!” “What?” Jordan’s wife, Cat, yelled from the bathroom. “It’s over.” Mike shook his head. “My team is going to lose.” The Cowboys had led the Eagles 28-27 going into the fourth quarter.
