-Through the two memorials, the Lord of the Heavens earned of the unmannerly conduct of Sun Wu Kung, and ordered a god to go down to earth and take him prisoner.

-A god named Evening Star advised the Lord of the Heavens that because Sun Wu Kung was born with such pure powers from all across the world, it'd be better for him to give an order to be called up to heavens for a position.

-Lord of the Heavens agrees and the Evening Star tells Sun Wu Kung that he has been ordered to come up to the heavens. Sun Wu Kung gladly accepts as he has been wanting to go to Heaven.

-Sun Wu Kung was very disrespectful to the eyes of the servants of Heavens, but the Lord forgave him as he did not know the rules yet. The Lord of the Heavens gave Sun Wu Kung the task of taking care of the stables and a month later, the stable was filled with young healthy foals and his heavenly friends prepared a banquet for him.

-When Sun Wu Kung found out that his job as a stablemaster was actually humiliating and degrading as it held no ranks whatsoever, he destroyed the stables and returned back to his mountain with other apes.

-The Lord of the Heavens sent a couple of warriors who also happened to be his sons, to recapture Sun Wu Kung but both failed miserably.

-The Evening Star advised the Lord of the Heavens to give an empty, but high rank title to the Ape King to regain his trust.

-The Sun Wu Kung stories I read contained more adventures that he took with his two companions but this was a nice reminder of how the story began.

-This story is all about the Ape King being ignorant to the rules of the world and him traveling to gain knowledge and be more humble and wise and giving.
